As of the end of April, Jan Derksen is the new tournament director. Jan is the chairman of Chess Club Haren and has administrative and organizational experience with the Dutch Go Federation. He will organize the upcoming edition together with Govert Pellikaan. Govert stepped down as tournament director earlier this year. We thank Govert for developing the Chess Festival over the past few years and wish Jan the best of luck.

The 9-round main tournament will be held over 6 days from December 19 to 24, with a slightly shorter time control than before. The website will be updated in the near future, including the new schedule for the main and subgroups. So keep following the news for further updates!
